I got this to test the temperature of the air coming out of the vents in my vehicle so that I could just see what the temperature of the air was as I was only curious. This thing is far too large to use on a daily basis for this purpose It did give me an accurate reading and Im overall very happy with that

I got this to measure the temperature in my homemade solar cooker. The narrow temperature probe made it easy to drill a hole in the cooker that sealed up when the probe was inserted. It worked like a charm. Now I know when a recipe has reached the proper temperature without having to open the top of the cooker and release all the hot air. The instrument is obviously of high quality and quite durable, with the exception perhaps of the quartz window covering the needle as it swings across the temperature scale. A great little item for measuring temperature in hard to access areas.

Sturdy, Accurate and Easy to Install I ordered this thermometer as a replacement, and it was super easy to pop the old one out and replace with this one. The stainless steel makes the thermometer feel and look solid. There are two thermometers on the water heating system, and this thermometer is identical in its read out as the other one, so I am comfortable that it is reporting accurately.

As a woodworker I use old fashioned hide glue which is very picky about being heated to the correct temperature of 155F and no more at the risk of damage and denaturing. The glue is in a glass jar with a lid and warmed up in a baby bottle warmer. So that means that you have a lots of moving parts in close proximity and it is difficult to manipulate the whole thing without slopping glue in the wrong place. My present thermometer has a short stem so it is down close to the jar lid. This thermometer from Goatacura gave me a surprise when I opened the box. It is a beautiful thing. It's sort of Rolex meets heavy industrial. Stainless steel everywhere. The dial is large - 3 1/8" or 80mm diameter. The markings are crisp and clear black on a bright white dial. Behind the dial is a mounting thread, roughly 3/4" diameter by 12 threads per inch but don't quote me. The sensing stem is almost 6 1/2 inches from the back of the dial housing. The back of the dial has a small screw marked reset which presumably allows some sort of re-calibration. The whole device looks very fit for purpose and is gorgeous thing to behold. It would be absolutely in place in a large food processing plant so my little glue application will be satisfied in spades.

I got this with the intention of using it to keep tabs on resin temperatures- being able to attach this to a tank with a 1/2" NPT fitting is a plus, and it doesn't need batteries. Since I'm holding resins for lengthy periods no needing power is a plus. Testing it out it seems accurate, certainly to within my requirements. A calibration record sheet is included in the box. And there is a calibration screw should it need adjustment. It looks rugged and well made, all stainless and feels like high quality for the price. I appreciate the larger dial and clear readout.
